"Very well," says the singer. The minstrels begin playing the tune. At first it is so quiet you're not sure anything is happening, but sure enough an insistent melody emerges, making you think of a young man running fearfully through a forest. Then the song explodes into life...
Last Man Standing is based on Flight from the Dark, the first book in Joe Dever's legendary fantasy gamebook series, Lone Wolf.
Flight from the Dark is riven with emotion: shock, sadness and anger, followed by relief as Silent Wolf meets Banedon in the forest, and ultimately resolve as he completes the quest. The Brotherhood has tried to capture this tumultuous emotional journey in song. And, in what we're confident is a world first, we squeezed the name Holmgard into the pre-chorus.

Bulletride Actionwear: "What can I say more than that I just love it. This speaks to me on so many levels. It's nostalgia and fandom put into music, making me feel both joyful as well as timesick (you know - like homesick but for an era past, it's more than "just" nostalgia). Can't wait to hear more from you guys."
Sent to pray for my soul
Fetching wood to make amends
When the sky turned cold
With wicked wings from the west
Rang the bell but all too late
Blackened beasts had sealed your fate
There was blood on the walls
As the Kai died at my feet
Send word to the king
Flee to Holmgard
I'm the last man standing
At the end of the day
A thousand names never on a grave
And I'm staring them down
Staring them down for you
I'm the last man standing
All my brothers gone
A thousand souls in the blink of an eye
And I'm staring them down
Staring them down for you
As I ran from the dark
A red rage filled my heart
And I cut them down
Butchered them where they stood
In the trees I met a man
Flowing robes and gentle hands
He said “Don't fear me,”
“I'm here to help, my friend”
I'm the last man standing
At the end of the day
A thousand names never on a grave
And I'm staring them down
Staring them down for you
I'm the last man standing
All my brothers gone
A thousand souls in the blink of an eye
And I'm staring them down
Staring them down for you
The Kai will rise again
The Kai will live again
The Kai will fight again
The Kai will win again
I'm the last man standing
At the end of the day
A thousand names never on a grave
And I'm staring them down
Staring them down for you
I'm the last man standing
All my brothers gone
A thousand souls in the blink of an eye
And I'm staring them down
Staring them down for you
